The Ercolanetti olive oil of La Macina di Bettona

La Macina di Bettona is a family-run farm that is located in Umbria among the hills of Bettona, a small village of Etruscan origin. From the farmhouse, you can see the rugged and charming nature of the Umbrian region. One of the greatest treasures of the region is the precious Green Gold, the olive oil. The Ercolantti olive oil produced in La Macina di Bettona achieves highest standard and received several hallmarks of excellence such as the DOP denomination.

 

Sapori di Norcia

The Cooperative of Lentils of Castelluccio di Norcia was founded with the aim of bringing together the work of all the owners of agricultural land involved in the cultivation of the product that characterises the Castelluccio plateau: Lentils.

">The lentil of Castelluccio is unique for its extremely small size and unmistakable flavour and is grown at an altitude of 1500 metres above sea level in the heart of the Sibillini National Park. Sown as soon as the snow cover has completely melted away, the lentil flowers are the protagonist of the "Flower Festival", which makes the plateau shine in an impressive array of colours in the last weeks of June. Only in August does the harvest take place and the season ends with the traditional threshing festival, the symbol of the old peasant work.

In order to protect the consumer and the product effectively against possible counterfeiting, the European Community granted the Castelluccio lentils the IGP- recognition (Protected Geographical Indication) in 1997, thus solving the problem of marketing counterfeit lentils.
